At Oldbury Equine Clinic we provide a full service for both natural and artificial breeding. Our experienced veterinary team provides chilled and frozen semen insemination services. Additionally, we have a purpose-designed crush that safely holds a mare and foal during both ultrasound and rectal examinations.

Our fully portable on-farm routine scanning and reproductive assessment equipment can be used where suitable stocks/crushes are available.

If you are seeking an equine repro vet with knowledge, qualifications and experience, the Oldbury Equine Clinic team is here for you. We have the facilities to ensure semen is available when required. We also have the provision to store this for future seasons to provide you with peace of mind in terms of future reproduction.

In addition, we ensure that mares are dewormed and vaccinated around 4-6 weeks before foaling to ensure your foals get the best start to life. Once they arrive, an equine reproduction vet ensures foals have their IgG levels tested between 12-24 hours after they’re born.

I just wanted to say the biggest thank you Dr Simone for her incredible care, support and compassion. On Tuesday, my mini pony suddenly lost use of his hind legs. A quick call to Oldbury Equine and Dr Simone was on her way in moments! Unfortunately for my little guy, the prognosis wasn’t good and we made the heartbreaking decision to let him go. Called Oldbury today as my horse had a VERY swollen eye. Within 10 minutes Mike and Jo were at my door and within 30 minutes Lacee was all fixed up and feeling better. Great service and happy, friendly vets. Definitely using these guys from now on! Thanks Mike and Jo.
